MatchTheMovie (accessible via matchthemovie.app and app.matchthemovie.app) is designed strictly with data minimization principles. No account registration, email address, phone number, or social media login is required to use the service.
2. What Data We Process
- Temporary session identifiers: A randomized token and a 4-character room code are generated to connect participants in a movie session.
- Movie swiping preferences: Likes are temporarily stored to calculate matches between room participants, and are automatically purged 24 hours after session creation.
- Browser local storage (localStorage): Used only to preserve your preferred language (EN/PL) and active session room code across reloads.
3. User Rights & Data Deletion
You can leave any session at any time using the "Leave Room" button. This immediately terminates your session and removes local room reference.
